

All the parts are Conn and the serial number placement is very 'Conn'. The valve casings are similar, but not exact, but note the Pan American style braces that were common on the late 58A and early 14A Directors. Engraving zig-zag line width and type are identical and the pattern is similar in coverage. Pinkie hook, water keys, buttons, caps, slide pulls, are all identical.

Nickel tube highlights are also in the same places. The case details, even the interior cloth color are the same as my 20A #422534 (Director style) cornet's case. However, I am not sure that Kingston horns from the 1950's (assuming 20 year term) on would also be Wurlitzer branded, as I have not seen a renewal. I have also found the trademark for the Kingston stencil (a Wurlitzer brand), which was first used in 1935. With the confirmation of the Continental Clarion being introduced in 1937 I can use that as a datapoint.
